Aramco, or Saudi Aramco, is a Saudi Arabian state-owned oil and gas company, one of the world's largest in terms of oil production and oil reserves. It is engaged in the exploration, production, transportation and refining of oil and gas, provides a significant portion of the budget of Saudi Arabia, and is one of the world's leading producers of energy and chemicals. The company is headquartered in Dhahran.
Saudi giant Aramco has been tipped for a potential deal with Novatek since 2019 and the Ukraine crisis may have opened the door to a deal.
The company continues to rebuff U.S. requests to pump more oil to help tame surging crude prices, instead sticking by an agreement with Russia to only marginally increase output. Saudi Aramco cuts December 2025 crude rates, opening window for Indian refiners post-Russia curbs.
