KazMunayGas is the state-owned oil and gas company of Kazakhstan. It was founded in 2002 by merging CJSC Kazakhoil and CJSC Oil&Gas Transportation. Parent organization: Samruk-Kazyna ; Subsidiaries: KazTransOil, Tengizchevroil.
In February 2023, the Kazakh state company sold LUKOIL a 50% stake in the Kalamkas-Khazar Operating company, which owns the licenses for these fields.
Kazakhstan will buy tankers to transport oil around Russia. The national operator of Kazakhstan, KazTransOil JSC, announced an increase in tariffs for pumping Russian oil.
