Statement condemning Russian actions on Ukraine. Suspended operations of its Russian-language social and digital media sites, Russian business partners, and its memorandum of understanding with the KHL, and told teams to cease contact with Russian-based agents. (Russian partners include: Yandex, which airs live and on-demand NHL game. Liga Stavok, a Russian sports betting company). Clubs of the National Hockey League (NHL) selected 27 Russian players based on the results of all stages of the 2024 draft. Hockey players from Russia became the third most popular.
