Wikipedia fights Russian order to remove Ukraine war information. The Wikimedia Foundation, which owns Wikipedia, has filed an appeal against a Moscow court decision demanding that it remove information related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, arguing that people have a right to know the facts of the war. Moscow court fined Wikimedia 2 million rubles for failure to remove data from "Wikipedia". Despite the initial threats, the listed web services remain operational and available, such as YouTube, Wikipedia, Telegram and Zoom. Bailiffs stopped cases of collecting fines from Whatsapp, Wikimedia, Telegram, Google and Meta. They did not find their assets in Russia.
