Stay Scaling BackInitially suspended flights to Russia but later resumed flights to Moscow (#184) and to Makhachkala (№9232). Azerbaijan Airlines has cancelled flights to Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara, Grozny and Makhachkala since December 28, 2024. The report, cited by the Azerbaijani state news agency APA, says that the flights have been suspended until the investigation into the plane crash near the Kazakh city of Aktau is completed. It was later reported that the airline has cancelled flights to three more Russian cities – Vladikavkaz, Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov. Air service with Russia resumed at the end of 2025.
