Japanese machine tool manufacturer Mori Seiki has completely stopped doing business in Russia. President Masahiko Mori has said that the machines they make are subject to sanctions because they can be redirected to the production of weapons. President Vladimir Putin signed an order transferring 100% of the shares of Ulyanovsk Machine Tool Plant LLC to the Federal Property Management Agency for temporary management. The plant belonged to the German subsidiary of DMG MORI - Seiki Gildemeister Beteiligungen.
