UC Rusal has reached an agreement to purchase one-third of the Chinese metallurgical company Hebei Wenfeng New Materials to ensure the supply of alumina. The companies need the raw material due to sanctions imposed by Western countries. The deal is valued at $266.9 million, but it could potentially increase.
