"Our main focus right now is exiting Russia responsibly. We never comment on the details of ongoing negotiations. We have been clear from the outset that we will not profit from any sale or transfer of ownership of our business nor do we profit from the ongoing operations while we seek a buyer". Heineken has found a buyer for its business in Russia, awaiting approval from the authorities. Heineken sold Russian assets for 1 euro, under the terms of the deal, the buyer is also obliged to repay the Russian business's intra-group debt to Heineken in the amount of about 100 million euros.

CEO Dolf van den Brink said Heineken was aiming to sell the Russian operations, which still employ around 1,800 people, in the first half of this year – but suggested the process could take longer than initially thought. It pulled its eponymous beer from Russia last year, but continues to sell other brands there. Heineken Seeks Approval For Sale Of Russian Business.
