The Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (International Fencing Federation), commonly known by the acronym FIE, is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. Today, its head office is at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has allowed Russian juniors to participate in its competitions using national symbols. The Executive Committee of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) decided that, starting with the 2026 Senior World Championships in Hong Kong, China, all protective measures will be lifted and athletes and officials holding Belarusian or Russian passports will be permitted to participate in all FIE individual and team events under their respective national acronyms, uniforms, flags, and anthems.

But later it was announced that Russian and Belarusian athletes will be allowed to return to competing in International Fencing Federation (FIE) events.
