The Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (International Fencing Federation), commonly known by the acronym FIE, is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. Today, its head office is at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Competitions in Russia have been canceled or relocated. Banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from sanctioned competition. But later it was announced that Russian and Belarusian athletes will be allowed to return to competing in International Fencing Federation (FIE) events. Russian oligarch Usmanov became a candidate for the post of the head of the International Fencing Federation.
