The holding company is JT International SA and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and sells its brands in 120 countries. JTI is international business division is located and listed in Switzerland, but management decisions are made at the headquarters in Japan. The company is semi-state owned.
JTI is the tobacco market leader and one of the biggest FMCG companies in Russia in terms of sales value. The company's portfolio includes the international brands Winston, LD, Mevius, Camel, and Sobranie, as well as Russian brands Donskoy Tabak, Kiss, Play, Peter I, Troika.
