The company is suspending KitKat and Nesquik, among other brands. It halted non-essential imports and exports into and out of Russia, stopped advertising, and suspended all capital investment in the country. Nestle doesn't expect to make a profit in the country or pay any related taxes for the foreseeable future in Russia, any profit will be donated to humanitarian relief organizations. On January 26, 2024 the Swiss company Nestle (brands Pro Plan, Purina One, Gourmet, Darling, Felix) warned suppliers about another increase in prices for cat and dog food starting in February. Nestlé continues to operate in Russia despite reducing its portfolio after 2022. In August 2026, Kommersant reported that a little-known Russian company, KS Logistika, asked President Vladimir Putin to place five Nestlé Russian entities under temporary administration, citing Nestlé’s lack of plans to expand production capacity in Russia and the halt of exports of products made at its Russian factories. Nestlé stated that it had not been contacted by Russian authorities and that its offices and factories in Russia continue to operate, with investments in 2022–2025 directed at supporting production and operations. Nestlé’s 2025 Annual Review lists six production sites in Russia, confirming the company’s continued manufacturing presence in the country.
