The entry about the founder of UK ROZNITSA LLC has been removed from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. But the new owners are still using the SPAR franchise. In August 2024, new stores were opened in Moscow. The company continues to work in Russia. Revenue increased in 2024 vs 2023. SPAR International is an international cooperative, not a corporation, and does not own stores or capital in the Russian Federation. Russian legal entities received rights to the brand under old licensing agreements, but since 2022 the central office in Amsterdam has completely stopped supplying goods, financial transactions and any operational support. Representatives of the Russian Federation have been suspended from international congresses, and European partners have removed Russian products from their shelves. The use of the SPAR brand in the occupied territories of Ukraine is illegal looting and has no relation to SPAR International. Thus, SPAR International has no operational or financial ties with the Russian Federation, and its activities there are effectively blocked. This corresponds to the Leave/Suspended status.
