The National Agency on Corruption Prevention in Kyiv informed the German government that a so-called CNC machine manufactured by Spinner Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik GmbH is en route to a plant in Russia from Turkey, according to letters seen by Bloomberg News and people familiar with the matter. The equipment is due to arrive later this month. The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has added two leading German manufacturers of high-precision machine tools, SPINNER and DMG MORI, to the list of international sponsors of war. State prosecutors and customs investigators from Munich have searched the premises of a machine tool manufacturer near Munich. They suspect that more than 20 high-precision machine tools with a sales price of around 5.5 million euros were deliberately shipped to Russia in “deliberate circumvention of the sanctions rules imposed against Russia,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. The company in question is Spinner from Sauerlach. The prosecutor’s office points to a report by the television station Arte from the end of April this year, which traces the export of the Spinner machine in detail. The report states that the machine was sold to a defense company in Russia via third countries, partly using forged documents, despite the current European sanctions rules. The machines can process all kinds of materials, such as metals. They are used in the automotive industry as well as by manufacturers of weapons and ammunition.
