Leave SuspensionIn March 2023, Hexagon implemented a dedicated Standard Operating Procedure for Addressing Diversion Risks to Russia and Belarus as part of its Export Compliance Programme. This global procedure was designed to address risks associated with unauthorized diversion and parallel imports involving Russia and Belarus. The framework includes enhanced due diligence for higher‑risk transactions and sales channels, restrictions on resale, end use and end users, internal escalation and documentation requirements, and targeted training for relevant employees and third‑party intermediaries. Hexagon’s position during correspondence: the company has curtailed their Russia‑related business activities, does not sell to or support Russian customers or end users, and maintain controls intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized diversion into restricted markets.
Freezed all business activities. According to customs data for 2024, coordinate measuring machines and parts for them manufactured by more than 70 companies were imported to Russia. The goods came mainly from China, however, even if the equipment was assembled there, we are talking about production facilities and technologies belonging to large Western corporations, the list of which is small. Half of all coordinate measuring machine exports to Russia are provided by four Western corporations: Swedish Hexagon, German Wenzel, American Automated Precision and British Renishaw.
