Russia initiated aggression against Ukraine in 2014. On February 24, 2022, it started a full-scale military invasion to the Ukrainian territory. This brutal war and military crimes of Russian troops caused a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine with thousands civilians killed and millions becoming refuges. As a reaction to this act of aggression, many international companies decided to leave the Russian market, while some others continue doing business there as usual. We track such decisions of companies and urge them to stop funding the war.

Exit CompletedUkrainian tea was exported to Poland (Lovare Sp. zo.o.), then to Belarus (Natur Technologies LLC), and then to the Russian company LDK, which supplied it to the Russian market at least until May 2024. In official customs documents, tea and coffee from Monomakh were listed as “produced in Ukraine” and sometimes “produced in Belarus” to circumvent bans during the war. On June 10, the SBU conducted searches in the company’s offices and a number of employees. Taras Barabash was put on the wanted list on June 16, 2025 — he is listed in the indictment for “aiding an aggressor state.” However, the company published a statement on its website. “We do not cooperate with the Russian Federation, do not help Russia, and do not do business on the territory of an enemy state,” the tea manufacturer emphasizes. The Ukrainian company "Monomakh" declares its complete openness, readiness to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, and determination to protect its business reputation exclusively in the legal field.
